The writer is a retired NYPD officer. How in God's name could he believe there is no war on police right now?? BLM chants slogans calling for the death of police officers, scumbags post videos on YouTube with guns threatening cops, 8 cops were hunted down and killed, and thanks to their friend in the White House, it is ramping up. The author is missing the big picture here, which is why this is printed in the NY Times of course.
