NYPD rookie, goddaughter of ex-cop who inspired ‘Starsky and Hutch’ gets ‘excellent police duty honor’
She’s a chip off the old Tonto.
An NYPD rookie and goddaughter of a retired detective who was part of a crime fighting team that inspired the 1970s TV show “Starsky and Hutch” was honored for a gun arrest in Far Rockaway Tuesday.
Police Officer Lauren Nadle, 25, humbly accepted the “excellent police duty honor” as cops from the 101st Precinct celebrated their Medal Day ceremony at PS 104 on Mott Ave.
Nadle joined the department last July. She is the niece and goddaughter of retired Detective Lou Telano, a decorated plain clothes homicide investigator who was known for his flashy disguises.
