It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of active Sgt. Christopher Christodoulou, 45, from 9/11 related ailments on September 16, 2017.
Sgt. Christodoulou was appointed to the NYPD on April 21, 1997, and promoted to sergeant on February 27, 2004.
He was assigned to Patrol Borough Manhattan South at the time of his death, and is survived by his wife Melissa and children Amanda, Brian and Nicholas.
The viewing will be held from 1400 to 1600 and 1900 to 2100 hours on Thursday and Friday, Sept. 21 to 22, at the Towers Funeral Home, 2681 S. Long Beach Road, Oceanside, NY 11572, phone 516-766-0425.
The funeral will take place at 0945 hours on Saturday, Sept. 23, at Our Lady of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 25 Fowler Avenue, Lynbrook, NY 11563, phone 516-599-6414.
Please keep Sgt. Christodoulou, as well as his family, friends and colleagues in your thoughts and prayers. He was a revered member of the SBA and will be missed tremendously.
