Grayslake man killed in fight with Round Lake police officer
A police officer in suburban Round Lake fatally shot a man late Friday, according to the Lake County sheriff's office.
Michael Robert Musson, 22, of Grayslake, was prounounced dead about 11 p.m. in the first block of North Macgillis Drive, according to the Lake County coroner's office.
Round Lake police officers responded to the area about 10:50 p.m. after receiving 911 calls about someone banging on doors and trying to break into a residence, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
