The NYPD cop who shot and killed unarmed Bronx teen Ramarley Graham in 2012 turned in his gun and badge on Sunday — after learning that he was on the brink of being fired, authorities said.
“He was exonerated by both a state and federal grand jury,” Haste’s lawyer, Stuart London, told the Associated Press.
“The New York City Police Department Firearms Discharge Review Board found the shooting to be justified,” he said. “All of officer Haste’s actions were performed in good faith. He never should have been forced to resign based on tactics alone.”
A NYPD detective was arrested Sunday for fondling himself in front of the windows of Long Island homes, police sources said.

WESTON, Wis. — A police officer and three other people were shot and killed when a domestic dispute at a bank escalated into shootings at three locations in northern Wisconsin on Wednesday, investigators said. A suspect was in custody.
The shootings happened at a bank, a law firm and an apartment complex, where officers, including a SWAT team, had a standoff with the suspect for several hours before ending in a volley of gunfire around 5 p.m.

Yes, and all were investigated and squashed or dealt with. Comes with being an active cop, people don't like to get arrested you know. Totally irrelevant to his already investigated and cleared actions that day, when he was ordered by a female African American Sgt to arrest a giant resisting perp. Garner was out of shape and would not comply. He was restrained in a head lock, not a chokehold- he could talk and breath. He could have complied and ended the struggle anytime.

A 15-year-old Chicago girl appeared to be the victim of a horrifying gang rape -- by a group who streamed the attack on Facebook Live.
None of the roughly 40 people who watched the video called police about the attack, investigators said. It’s the second time in months that Chicago police have investigated an apparent attack streamed live on Facebook.
CHILD PORN SUSPECT FOUND DEAD IN JAIL HOURS AFTER ARREST
Police finally learned of the attack after the girl’s mother approached Superintendent Eddie Johnson late Monday afternoon and showed him screenshots of the alleged assault, spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said. Johnson was leaving a news conference in the Lawndale neighborhood on the city’s West Side.
“Here’s what’s even more disturbing, more than the fact that they did this, there were so many people that saw it and didn’t pick up the phone to dial 911,” Johnson told WGN-TV. “That’s not right. It’s just not right.”
TEXAS WALMART GREETER STABBED, SUSPECT ARRESTED
Johnson, who reportedly was “visibly upset” after he watched the video, immediately ordered an investigation and the department asked Facebook to take the video down.
The girl was reported missing after she didn’t return to her Lawndale home after going to the store on Sunday, the Chicago Tribune reported. Then, the girl’s uncle reportedly came across a Facebook Live video showing a group of boys assaulting the 15-year-old.
The girl was found Tuesday morning walking four blocks from her home. Police said she appeared to be in “good condition” and was returned to her mother, the Tribune reported.
In January, four people were arrested after cellphone footage streamed live on Facebook showed them allegedly taunting and beating a mentally disabled man.
The suspects in that case -- Jordan Hill, 18, Tesfaye Cooper, 18, Brittany Covington, 18, and Tanishia Covington, 24 – were charged with hate crime and battery for allegedly torturing the white man for as long as 48 hours, while shouting racial and anti-Donald Trump slurs.

Recovery workers who toiled at the World Trade Center disaster site may face a heightened risk of rheumatoid arthritis and similar autoimmune diseases, a new study suggests.
The findings, reported online March 16 in the journal Arthritis & Rheumatology, add to the list of potential health effects seen among responders to the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks in New York City.
Past studies have found increased rates of respiratory diseases, such as asthma and chronic bronchitis, as well as some forms of cancer. The new study is the first to find an increased risk of certain autoimmune disorders, the researchers say.
Autoimmune diseases arise when the immune system launches an abnormal attack on the body's own tissue. The conditions seen in this study -- which also included lupus and systemic sclerosis -- affect joints, muscles and connective tissue throughout the body.
The diseases were not common. In the 12 years following 9/11, the researchers found 59 new cases of autoimmune conditions among more than 13,600 firefighters and other recovery workers who were potentially at risk.
But their odds of getting such a diagnosis rose 13 percent for each month they spent at the Twin Towers site, the findings showed. And workers who spent 10 months there had a threefold higher risk than those who were on-site for one month.
