NYPD Officer Raymond Fuscaldo worked at Ground Zero and Fishkill landfills for months without hesitation or complaint. P.O. Fuscaldo succumbed to 9/11-related cancer approximately one year ago. His wife, Kim, has been informed that the NYPD does not possess documentation demonstrating the exact location of Ray’s post on 9/12 (which was at Ground Zero) or the days after, nor the countless days he was posted at Fresh Kills landfill. Ray’s memo books from those years have not been found (likely been thrown away, as he had no idea that he’d have to prove years later the location of his service). At this time, unfortunately it is up to Kim to prove that she and her two young girls qualify for survivor/line of duty health care coverage.
We are asking for anyone who worked at the 75th Precinct, Ground Zero and Fresh Kills to PLEASE check any documentation or photographs they may have that could place Ray at these locations. If anyone has information on access to the ARCS system, that is helpful as well. It is unfortunate that the burden has been placed on the family to find proof of Ray’s heroism and selflessness, but his family and friends will do whatever it takes to ensure that Kim and her girls are taken care of.
Please share as you never know who may have helpful information.
All information can be sent to email@example.com.
