The head of the city’s largest police union and the brother of a cop murdered in 1988 argued Friday against the release of his killers.
Union head Pat Lynch and slain Officer Edward Byrne’s brother Lawrence met with the state Parole Board in Midtown.
Drug dealers ambushed and killed Edward Byrne, who had just turned 22, while he guarded the Queens home of a witness in February 1988.
Scott Cobb, Philip Copeland, David McClary and Todd Scott are up for parole and are serving 25-to-life sentences.
